Serving Hainesville, IL — Part of Our Lake & McHenry Counties Service Area
Hainesville is the oldest incorporated village in Lake County — its incorporation papers were drafted on February 26, 1847, making every other village, town, and city in the county younger by decades or more. The village takes its name from Elijah M. Haines, a New York native who moved to the area as a teenager in 1838, bought farmland here, and platted the village in 1846. Haines went on to serve eight terms in the Illinois legislature (two as Speaker of the House) and was a prominent voice in the Illinois Constitutional Convention of 1869-70 — but the village he founded never grew as he hoped it would.
The reason is a story worth knowing if you live or work here. In 1899, the Milwaukee Road railroad was expanding through Lake County, and a local landowner in Hainesville asked for a sizable payment to put a depot on his land. The railroad said no and accepted a free-land offer from a landowner in what's now Round Lake. The station went up there instead, commerce followed the rail line, and Hainesville lost its commercial momentum. The post office closed in 1919. The village stayed a quiet farming community for the better part of a century after that.
Then the suburban build-out caught up. Starting in 1990, farmland east of Hainesville Road and north of Belvidere Road was subdivided as Misty Hill Farm. Deerpoint Trails followed in 1994. In 2000, land around the south side of a former cranberry bog was developed for homes, and in 2003, Cranberry Lake North went up as a townhouse community on the north side of Cranberry Lake. Within about fifteen years, Hainesville's population grew from a few hundred to over 3,000. These are mostly 1990s and 2000s vinyl-clad suburban builds — the vinyl siding, asphalt driveway, aluminum gutter combination that makes up most of the power-washing demand here.

Yes. We clean lakefront siding, decks, boat docks, and seawall pavers regularly. Homes near the water build algae and mildew faster because of the humidity, so we soft-wash siding and use the right pressure for wood decks — no stripping, no damage.
Once a year for siding and decks. Dominant housing stock is 1990s-2000s vinyl siding, asphalt driveways, aluminum gutters — the three surfaces that generate most calls. Cranberry Lake North townhouses on the lake take extra humidity load on north-facing siding. The older farmhouse pockets left from the pre-railroad era need gentler soft-wash to protect century-plus mortar and wood siding. Driveways and walkways benefit from a wash every 12 months too.
A typical driveway runs $200–$300. A full house wash is usually $300–$600 depending on size and material. Brick paver restoration and sealing is quoted by square footage. Every quote is free and there are no surprises.
